The Lits Building is located at 8th & Market Streets,

literally on top of one of the city’s major transit infrastructures and right near major Philly attractions like Independence Mall and the newly-renovated Pennsylvania Convention Center. There is a major revitalization of the area underway— by multiple partnerships—one that focuses on restoring both the landmarks as well as the activities that have marked Market Street’s diverse history. The effort is focused on this neighborhood as integral in determining a more sustainable future for the entire city by leveraging and adapting these current area existing assets.  A city-wide campaign emphasizing East Market Street’s pedestrian environment, promoting a mix of uses and creating a new and expanded intermodal transit center is launching this fall (2013).

The building boasts:

  • 32,000 Daily Commuters
  • 1500+ Corporate Employees
  • 57,000 Residents within the district that walk by the building to work
  • 5,000+ Parking Spaces within a 5-block radius
  • 24,000 city employees within a 5-minute walk of the site
